Partner

Qualified
as an Italian solicitor (avvocato) in 1955, he immediately joined
the family firm alongside his father, Cavaliere Grand Ufficiale
(Knight Grand Officer) Nicola Metta. Since 1970, Giacomo has
been qualified to testify at the Corte di Cassazione (Court of
Cassation/Italian Supreme Court). His primary areas of practice
are Civil, Succession and Family Law.
AURELIO AUGUSTO METTA
Managing
Partner/Senior Partner

Qualified
as an Italian solicitor (avvocato) in 1972, he immediately joined
the family firm alongside his father Nicola and his brother Giacomo.
Since 1987, Aurelio has been qualified to testify at the Corte
di Cassazione (Court of Cassation/Italian Supreme Court). His
primary areas of practice are Civil and Commercial Law. Twice
voted by peers as member of the Consiglio dell’Ordine degli
Avvocati di Bari (Bari Bar Association) and the Camera Arbitrale
della Camera di Commercio di Bari (Arbitration Board of the Bari
Chamber of Commerce).
MARIA SERENA METTA – Partner

Qualified
as an Italian solicitor (avvocato) in 1998. In 1996 Maria Serena
trained in New York at the law offices of Farrel & Fritz
Corp. and Home Federal Savings Bank. Specialist in European
Community Law and Economy since 1997. Maria Serena’s
primary areas of practice are Administrative Law, Civil Legal
Disputes and Litigations. Fluent English.
NICOLA MARIA METTA – Partner

Qualified
as an Italian solicitor (avvocato) in 2000. Immediately following,
Nicola Maria (Nick) worked at the legal and tax firm of Alderighi & Associati
during its merger with Ernst & Young (Rome).
He then joined
the American law firm Baker & McKenzie from 2001 to 2004
in the area of Tax and Revenue, Commercial, and Property Law,
handling both Italian and International casework. In 2005 Nick
brought his knowledge to the family firm where he is the lead
for international matters.
In 2009 he received his PhD in tax law from the University of Bari. Published in legal journals. Fluent
English.
FEDERICA METTA
Qualified to try cases at the Tribunali Ecclesiastici (Ecclesiastic
Courts) in 2004 and qualified as an Italian solicitor (avvocato)
in 2005. In 2006 Federica was admitted as an attorney at
law to the Tribunale Apostolico della Rota Romana (Supreme
Tribunal of the Apostolic Signature, the highest court of
appeal for the Tribunal of the Roman Rota in matters concerning
the Catholic Church). Her primary areas of practice are family
law, adoptions, matrimonial law and divorce.
JACOPO METTA
Qualified as an Italian solicitor (avvocato) in 2007. Jacopo’s primary areas of practice are accidents, personal injury and debt recovery. 2008/2009
President of Rotaract Club Bari, a
volunteer service organization.
SILVIA TRIGGIANI

Qualified as an Italian solicitor (avvocato) in 1996, Sylvia has worked for Studio
Legale Metta since 1993. Her primary areas of focus are civil disputes and insurance
company responsibility. Attended a professional course on arbritration and adminstrative
offenses. Published in legal journals.
PAOLA PARISI
Qualified as an Italian solicitor in 2007. Paola earned her Italian law degree in Milan with a specialization in international law in 2004 and completed a Master in corporate law. She currently works for the International Department of the firm focusing on international litigation and real estate. Fluent English and Spanish.
